Exploring Some of Sacramento’s Hottest Neighborhoods for Summer 2024
The real estate market in Sacramento is buzzing this summer. Even as buyers remain rate-conscious, their demand & excitement persists and they are eager to explore the city's most desirable neighborhoods. From the vibrant charm of Midtown to the historic atmosphere of East Sacramento, there's something for everyone in our beautiful city. Today I want to share a bit about some (NOT ALL) of the spots getting a lot of attention from my clients, and what makes these places special. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly community, a trendy urban vibe, or a serene suburban retreat, Sacramento has it all. Let’s talk about it!
Hollywood Park
I think just about anyone could be happy in Hollywood Park. It offers a classic, suburban neighborhood feel while keepings residents firmly in the middle of all that urban Sacramento has to offer. With access to desirable schools like LDV & great food and area icons like J. Crawford’s Books, Hollywood Park is a must-see for anyone looking for a 3 bed, 2 bath, where kids can run amok. The homes come on market and sell lightning fast, and people stay forever. So when you see something you like for sale here, don’t wait! Call me and we’ll see it lickety split.
Colonial Heights
San Francisco Boulevard is one of my favorite streets in Sacramento, and it’s one of the gateways into Colonial Heights. It is a historic streetcar route, and is easily spotted due to its striking palm trees. I spent a lot of time at the library and community pool when my kiddos were small. This is a rather small spot, but one with a strong sense of community and its history. It’s known for its cute, architecturally-diverse homes, poppin’ public library and neighbors who plan annual Garden Tours and Yard Sales. If you have considered Med Center/North Oak Park but have not yet toured Colonial Heights, you’re missing out - let’s go!
The Pocket/Greenhaven
When I help clients purchase a home in this area they are always excited about: the square footage, access to nature, and proximity to Downtown. Just a quick drive down I-5 from the city core, the Pocket, Little Pocket, and Greenhaven neighborhoods are well-established, mid-to-late century suburbs that offer residents a spacious mix of new & old, and plenty of access to water - the River, canals, and two private lakes, to be specific! Home in these areas sell quickly, and usually well above list price.
**
When getting to know the Region you need a Realtor who can not only explain market conditions and write a winning offer. You also need someone who can tell you the story of the City, placing you, your home & your neighborhood in historic context. Feeling connected to the past helps us plan for the future, and adds immeasurable significance to the already HUGE step of buying a home or relocating.
If you agree, let’s work together!
